Collecting IP addresses is a common procedure and is done automatically by many websites, applications, and other services. We use IP addresses for purposes such as calculating usage levels, diagnosing server problems, and administering our services. We may also derive your approximate location from your IP address (see "Location" below).
We may use and disclose Other Information for any purpose, except as otherwise required by applicable law. If we are required to treat Other Information as Personal Information under applicable law, we may use and disclose Other Information for the purposes for which we use and disclose the Personal Information described in this Policy.
We and our service providers collect Other Information in a variety of ways, including:
• Through your browser or device
o Certain information, such as your Media Access Control (MAC) address, computer type (Windows or Mac), screen resolution, operating system name and version, device manufacturer and model, language, Internet browser type and version, and the name and version of the service (e.g., app) you are using, is collected by most browsers or automatically through your device. We use this information to ensure that the Service functions properly.
• Through your use of the App;
o When you download and use the App, we and our service providers may track and collect App usage data, such as the date and time the App on your device accesses our servers, and information and files downloaded to the App based on your device number.
• Physical location information
o Our Services and HTML-formatted emails contain features that require us to collect different types of location information (e.g., IP address, GPS coordinates, or zip codes) that you use for certain features you choose, such as:
▪ Where to buy and store locators. Some of our services allow you to search for the nearest store that offers the Stanley Black & Decker product you want and see if they have any of our products in stock. If you access the Site or App through a mobile device and have enabled location-based services, we may use satellites, cell phone towers, or WiFi signals to collect location information for these features. If you access these features through a desktop device, you may choose to have your browser provide us with your location information based on your IP address so that we can respond to your requests, or you may be asked to enter your location information. Desktop device location information may vary depending on the browser you're using and how you connect to the Internet. You can use your mobile device settings to disable location-based services. In this case, our site and apps will not be able to access your precise mobile device location. We recommend that you review the help or user manual that came with your device for instructions.
▪ Email. Our email uses your IP address to determine the zip code where you are when you open the email. This allows us to customize content, such as maps of nearby stores that carry our products. Location information may vary depending on the device used to open the email. By using an email program, you can prevent pixel tags or images from being downloaded in emails you receive from us. In this case, you can block our service providers from accessing your location information. You can also unsubscribe from receiving emails from us as set forth in Section 6 below.
▪ Bluetooth-enabled® products and services. This section applies to additional personal information that may be collected, used, and disclosed in connection with our Bluetooth-enabled products and related services (collectively, "Bluetooth-enabled®® products and services"). If you access Bluetooth-enabled products and services through your mobile device, we may collect and use your mobile device's location services and Bluetooth capabilities to identify the date, time, and location of your mobile device when it was last in Bluetooth® range of a registered Bluetooth-enabled®®® product. This feature helps you find registered Bluetooth-enabled® products. We may also collect location information for your registered Bluetooth-enabled product sent to us through another user's mobile device, as well as location information for another user's registered Bluetooth-enabled®® product sent to us through your mobile device. (Bluetooth is a registered trademark owned by the Bluetooth®SIG, Inc. and any use of such marks by Stanley Black & Decker is under license.)
You can prevent this data collection through your device settings or, in some cases, by preventing the Service from accessing your device's Bluetooth®when installing the App. However, if you do this, we may not be able to provide you with the full functionality of the Service.
▪ In addition, our marketing partners may share your device's physical location with information about the advertisements you view and other information we collect so that they can provide you with more personalized content and study the effectiveness of their advertising campaigns.
o If you do not consent to provide location information or disable location-based services on your mobile device, you may be asked to manually select the region where you are located or enter your zip code. You can use your desktop or mobile device settings to disable or block location-based services. In this case, our Services will not be able to access your location information. For instructions, we recommend that you review the help information or user manual that came with your device or browser. If you choose not to provide this information, you may not be able to provide content that is specific to your region, and we and our marketing partners may not be able to provide you with such personalized services and content.

• Use of Adobe Flash technology (Flash Local Shared Object ("Flash LSO")) and other similar technologies;
o We may use Flash LSOs and other technologies to collect and store information about your use of the Services.
